Veggera is synonym to family and friend gathering at the parlors of the Kastorian mansions during wintertime.

A feast occasion for tightening further the relative’s relationships, along with an array of mouthwatering dishes (from pies, sarmas, local sausages, to spoon sweets), wine in abundance and music performed by local bands that play with bronze music instruments.

These days, veggera is considered to be a local custom revived especially by the Progressive Ladies' Association every December.
