Getting in Donousa
Direct access to the island of Donousa is possible via ferry from the port of Piraeus and the islands of Naxos, Syros, Paros, Amorgos and Astypalaia. A quick way to reach Donousa, however, is by domestic flights to the airports of Mykonos, Naxos, Syros, Paros and Astypalea, and from there, transport via ferry to Donousa.
Fly into Naxos and from there via Skopelitis Express (takes 4 hours, 3 times a week) or Blue Star Ferries (takes 70 minutes, operating 4 times a week) to Donousa.
Fly into Paros and from there via Blue Star Ferries to Donousa (takes 2 hours and 15 minutes, operating 4 times a week).
Fly into Astypalaia and from there via Blue Star Ferries to the isle of Donousa (takes 2 hours and 35 minutes).
Fly into Syros and from there via Blue Star Ferries to the isle of Donousa (takes 3 hours and 40 minutes).
Fly into Mykonos and from there hop on a boat to Naxos and then take the ferry to Donousa.
- By Blue Star Ferries directly to Donousa (with 2 transit stops from the isles of Paros and Naxos, while the trip is approximately 7 hours away from Donousa and runs 4 times/week during high season - 3 times/week during low season).
- By Blue Star Ferries from to the island of Naxos (approx. 5,5 hours) and from there via Express Skopelitis (4 hours, 3 times/week) or Blue Star Ferries (70 minutes, 4 times/week) to Donousa.
- By speedboat to Naxos (about 3.5 hours) and then, by ferry to Donousa via Express Skopelitis (roughly 4 hours, 3 times/week). Alternatively, by Blue Star Ferries directly to the island of Donousa (this trip takes about 70 minutes and runs 4 times a week)
By Hellenic Seaways to Naxos and then, by ferry to Donousa via Express Skopelitis (4 hours, 3 times/week). Otherwise by Blue Star Ferries straight to Donousa (in approximately 70 minutes, 4 times per week)
By speedboat to Naxos (at about 3.5 hours) and then by ferry to Donousa via Express Skopelitis (the trip lasts about 4 hours and it sceduled to run 3 times per week)
- By Express Skopelitis from both ports of Amorgos, (from Katapola the trip lasts roughly 2 hours and 15 minutes, whereas from Aegiali lasts around one hour). During winter the same itinerary is scheduled to run 6 times per week, whilst in summer runs 7 times a week. In addition to the above, Blue Star Ferries operate also from Amorgos (Aegiali) (55 minutes away from Donousa, despite the fact that the itinerary runs just 3 times/week in wintertime and 4 times/week in high season).
